This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE’s needs.
A Hybrid work arrangement means the employee's position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office.
This position will report to Duluth, MN.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a point of contact for Commercial & Industrial customers to promote energy efficiency.
Promote Business programs through organization of events, activities and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Provide technical assistance to customers considering energy efficiency upgrades.
Maintain a general understanding of energy accounting and economics, energy audits, HVAC Systems, motors and drives, building envelope, building automation and control systems, lighting, commissioning and high-performance buildings.
Assist in development and delivery of Minnesota Power’s Business Efficiency Program.
Research industry trends and technology advancements related to commercial/industrial facilities.
Interface with internal departments and external stakeholders.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree PLUS four years or more related experience
OR
Associate or technical degree PLUS six years or more related experience
Related experience may include experience with customer programs and services delivered to residential, commercial, industrial and/or agricultural markets.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Significant level of interpersonal and communication skills required.
Experience in energy-related fields is preferred.
A balance of technical, program administration, customer service, and marketing skills required.
