FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Housekeeping Reports To: Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor PURPOSE The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for leading the housekeeping team to ensure the cleanliness of rooms, units and common spaces.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required; less than one-year related experience and/or training; or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver’s license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Obtains list of units and spaces that need to be cleaned, organizing priorities as appropriate.
Assign cleaning tasks to housekeeping team.
Report clean units to the housekeeping inspector.
Ensure that all lost and found items are properly tracked and turned into the front desk.
Report broken and/or damaged items to maintenance department.
Assist with training and mentoring housekeeping team members.
Complete final walk-through of units to ensure they are ready for inspection.
Assist with inspection of units as needed.
Perform quality cleaning of rooms, units and common areas within set time limits and goals.
Complete daily paperwork (e.
g.
Maid Sheets).
Ensure that cleaning equipment and materials are maintained, reporting any items needing repair to Housekeeping Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager.
Respond to owners, guests, and others regarding housekeeping issues.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, hear, use hands, reach, climb, stoop and kneel.
The employee will seldom be required to talk and taste and/or smell.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.
The employee must be able to work at a fast past for extended periods of time in a high-pressure environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet, hot, or humid conditions, chemicals or solutions, fumes or airborne particles and moderate noise conditions.
The employee will seldom be exposed to high or precarious places.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules that reflect the business needs of the resort.
In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
