*Full-Time Custodian & Bus Driver Position* We are currently hiring one full time custodian/bus driver to join our team at Bessemer Area School District in Bessemer, MI.
Schedule: Monday – Friday (AM Shift) Location: Bessemer Area School District Rate of Pay: Per AFSCME Union Contract Custodian $16.
44, Bus Driver $16.
54 Effective Date: April 1, 2024 App Deadline: Open Until Filled Requirements: As a driver, you must possess a CDL with P & S endorsements or ability to obtain these endorsements within 30 days.
Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
The Bessemer Area School District is willing to train and help candidates obtain a CDL with proper endorsements, as long as they can be ready to drive by April 1, 2024.
Training + CDL testing fees will be covered by the district, if willing to sign a contract.
As a custodian, you must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; to operate power cleaning equipment and to complete all duties of a custodian.
Experience with plumbing, electrical and building repairs and boiler operations and maintenance, is a plus.
Position requires a background check + driving record check.
