*Duties and Responsibilities* *Essential Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:* * Provide services offered in the Deli area and respond promptly and politely to customer requests for assistance.
* Process ingredients, rotate, store, and display designated products in accordance with established practices, priorities, and recipes.
* Perform tasks at a pace that is consistent with department standards.
* Monitor food quality, record losses, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies throughout preparation, storage and display.
* Wash, sanitize and store cookware, utensils and containers in accordance with established practices and priorities.
* Maintain work stations and ensure cleanliness of department equipment, storage areas and display areas.
* Assist in training new staff on established systems.
* Achieve WFC customer service standards for internal and external customers.
* Contribute to an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment to support WFC's ENDS.
*Essential Organization Specific Duties and Responsibilities:* * Abide by all WFC policies and procedures.
* Engage in creating and maintaining a positive, ethical, and productive workplace that contributes to achieving progress on WFC’s ENDS.
* Follow and ensure compliance with all safety practices and policies.
* Maintain compliance with all regulatory guidance including but not limited to Minnesota Department of Agriculture and National Organic Standards.
*Additional Duties and Responsibilities:* * Achieve daily operational goals as directed by your supervisor.
* Maintain cleanliness of department areas and equipment and communicate and document any equipment maintenance and/or safety concerns to department management.
* Report any problems with systems, tools and/or products to department supervisors.
* Perform other tasks as assigned by department management.
* Assist customers in finding product and/or information, promptly and courteously answer and accurately route phone calls, messages, and customer requests in compliance with established practices.
* As directed, move into backstock, rotate, stage, stock and/or merchandise products in accordance with shift criteria.
* Promote ownership and owner benefits consistently and positively.
*Knowledge, Skills, Abilities* *Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* * Experience in retail, grocery, natural foods and/or cooperative business * Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays * Experience in commercial food preparation, food safety, knife skills and cooking equipment *Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* * Basic computer literacy including familiarity with using a web browser and email * Ability to operate effectively within established systems and procedures * Outstanding customer service skills * Attention to detail and good organizational skills * Ability to handle multiple demands, work under time pressures and meet department work objectives * Willingness to learn and perform all aspects of the position * Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing conditions * Demonstrate objectivity, neutrality and calmness under pressure * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Ability to effectively convey information * Regular, predictable attendance *Essential Physical Requirements:* * Ability to occasionally move up to 50 lbs.
