Purpose of Position:
* To provide prompt and exceptional experiences to guests that dine at the restaurant, and to assist all service staff front of house or back of house when needed.
Essential Functions (but not limited to):
* Abide by all sanitation and safety policies and procedures.
* Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in brand manual, and ownership employee handbook.
* Advise management of any complaints, comps, discounts, voids, to ensure restaurants profitability.
* Answer, report and follow supervisor’s instructions.
* Attending to customers upon entrance and departure.
* Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
* Come each shift properly dressed in the uniform, well-groomed, and hair pulled back.
* Complete all side work, cleaning tasks, and all other duties assigned by supervisor.
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Conduct yourself in a professional manner according to company policy.
* Consistently demonstrate upselling to enhance customer experience.
* Contribute to professional and team-friendly environment.
* Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
* Efficiently and professionally communicate with personnel and kitchen personnel.
* Ensure all tables are cleaned and set up properly.
* Ensure that all newly seated guests receive immediate attention and that their orders are taken promptly and courteously.
Be sure the guest is not neglected at any time.
* Ensure that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the entire restaurant at all times.
* Ensure the quality and appearance of the food meets restaurant’s standards.
* Follow all applicable laws, health codes, rules, and procedures in food safety.
* Follow all applicable laws, rules, and procedures in responsibly serving alcohol.
* Have complete working knowledge of full beverage menus and food menus.
* Keep your station clean and set up with the required supplies at all times.
* Know and demonstrate proper serving techniques for fine dining beverage and food presentation.
* Know the menu and recipes accordingly, and fulfill each order in the highest quality and presentation.
* Knowledge of Point of Sale System and Open Table system(s).
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
* Maintain good personal appearance, hygiene, and following the uniform guidelines.
* Meet all applicable laws, health codes, rules, and procedures in food safety.
* Prepare tables with special attention to sanitation and order
* Present menus and help customers select food/beverages
* Promote dedication from customers
* Provide consistent service that exceeds guest expectations.
* Report when inventory is low and needs to be reordered.
* Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
* Shall not consume alcoholic beverages while on the premises.
* Shall not serve persons who are under the legal drinking age.
* Shall not service intoxicated guests.
* Support front of house staff and back of house staff when needed.
* Work with the other personnel to ensure the side work and other job-related duties are completed.
