Purpose of Position:
* Responsible for the production of high quality food for our guests and assisting the kitchen staff where necessary.
Essential Functions (but not limited to):
* Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the brand manual, and ownership employee handbook.
* Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
* Any other duties as assigned by your Executive Chef.
* Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
* Complete all side work, cleaning tasks, and all other duties assigned by supervisor.
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Conduct yourself in a professional manner according to company policy.
* Contribute to professional and team-friendly environment.
* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
* Know the menu and recipes accordingly, and fulfill each order in the highest quality and presentation.
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
* Must be properly dress in the uniform, well-groomed, and hair back in a hat.
* Must ensure that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen area at all times.
* Must maintain good personal appearance, hygiene, and following the uniform guidelines.
* Must meet all applicable laws, health codes, rules, and procedures in food safety.
* Must meet all cooking standards to maintain a high quality of food and service on consistent basis.
* Must report when inventory is low and needs to be reordered.
* Must stock all items daily (and appropriately) and ensure adequate amount of prepping is done.
* Prepare food for service (e.
g.
chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
* Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
* Support front of house staff and dishwashing staff when needed.
Mandatory Job Requirements:
* Read, write, and speak English recommended.
* Neat, well-groomed appearance.
* Must have a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
* Effective communication skills.
* Pleasant personality and people skills.
* Follow all heath codes.
* Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
* Familiar with industry’s best practices

Training Required:
* Previous cooking and restaurant experience preferred but not necessary.
License or Certification Required:
* Certified Food Operators License Recommended.
