is currently hiring for an Accounting Analyst II in our Accounting & Finance department.
In this position you will be responsible for a variety of activities that ensure Company financial reporting is in compliance with GAAP and tax requirements.
This position reports on-site to our corporate office located in Superior WI.
Core Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly close activities and assist with year-end responsibilities
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations as assigned to ensure accuracy reporting shared with management
• Support company budgeting and forecasting process
• Support financial audits
• Ensure and support tax compliance in a multijurisdictional company
• Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with company personnel and external business contacts to best aid and support designated areas
• Assists outside auditors with documentation of financial information to verify compliance with GAAP
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in an accounting, finance, or related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in corporate finance or accounting
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Expert-level experience analytical and financial modeling skills
• Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel
• Experience developing business cases using costing and profitability analysis
• Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Ability to produce quality work under constant and strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in manufacturing industry
• Experience with Quickbooks
• Experience with Sales Tax
• Experience with Payroll
