Manion's Wholesale Building Supplies in Superior, WI is hiring a Payroll/HR Specialist.
A typical day is working with our 4 locations and employees with their payroll and Human Resource needs.
Manion's is a leading wholesale building materials supplier and building product manufacturer serving customers throughout the Upper Midwest.
*Key Performance Areas* § Preparation of bi-weekly payroll for 4 locations ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
§ Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
§ Verify time keeping records and discuss/solve discrepancies.
§ Answer employee questions and concerns regarding payroll.
§ Manage and administer all employee benefit programs.
§ Assist with the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants.
§ Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
§ Conduct background checks.
§ Writing of job descriptions.
§ Evaluate and resolve staff complaints and conflicts.
§ Assist with other office functions as needed including answering phones when needed.
§ Perform other duties as assigned *Education and Experience* § Six months of experience in payroll preferred.
§ Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel) § Proficient in HRIS, Payroll Software *Other Qualifications:* § Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
§ Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
§ Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
§ Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
§ Some knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
§ Knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements related to employee benefits.
§ Possess the highest level of integrity and dependability.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.
